Overview
Shifts are any 5 out of 7 covering day shift 06:00 - 18:00. Salary - £30,076.80 per annum.
Responsibilities
- Ensures relevant information relating to transport legislation is available in a timely manner and highlighted at the appropriate level
- Monitor vehicle maintenance detail to ensure adherence to legal compliance i.e. scheduling, MOTs and servicing
- Co-ordinate and support repair and maintenance requirements for Transport Fleet operations in line with legal compliance and regulation
- Collate and present necessary Transport information to the Planning Team via the Management Information System
- Use a variety of systems to produce and maintain accurate Transport information
- Liaise with external functions i.e. Agencies and Suppliers to achieve Transport objectives and operation plan
- Assist Team Managers by note-taking in investigations and disciplinary meetings
- Demonstrates an understanding of relevant legislation and works within site compliance, e.g. drivers hours and working time directive
- An understanding of the Transport function and how this feeds into a Distribution network
- Computer literacy and able to use a range of systems and platforms including Microsoft programmes, Yard and Microlise
- Ability to organise, plan and prioritise their own workload to meet deadlines
- An awareness of health and safety regulations and relevant legislation ie Working Time Directive
Qualifications / Requirements
- Understanding of transport legislation and compliance
- Computer literacy; able to use Microsoft programmes, Yard and Microlise
