Welfare Manager

Location: Aylesford, Kent | Salary: Dependent on Experience | Contract: Permanent

Role Summary

Our Client is seeking a compassionate and experienced Welfare Manager to lead their welfare and support services across a 72‑acre residential village supporting veterans and their families. You will oversee welfare delivery, guide residents toward independent living, and ensure staff have the skills, structure, and support needed to work safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the review, development, and delivery of welfare services.
  • Develop welfare policies, frameworks, and strategies to support veterans with complex needs.
  • Manage and support the Welfare Team, including Step In and Job Coaching functions.
  • Build strong partnerships with external agencies to enhance support pathways for veterans.
  • Oversee performance reporting, monitoring outcomes, and ensuring accurate reporting to senior leadership and funders.
  • Support community engagement initiatives and contribute to new service development.
  • Manage budgets, funding returns, and financial performance within agreed frameworks.
  • Ensure effective communication with residents, colleagues, and partner services.
  • Promote high standards of safety, compliance, and professional conduct at all times.

Additional Information
