Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components, ensuring that all work meets safety standards and specifications. Your ability to communicate effectively and educate others on welding techniques will be highly valued in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver lessons aligned with EAL Level 2 and 3 curriculum in:
  • MMA (Manual Metal Arc), MIG, and TIG welding techniques
  • Welding joint types, material preparation, and fabrication
  • Health and safety in welding environments
  • Reading technical drawings and interpreting specifications
  • Support learners in achieving assessment criteria, portfolio building, and practical assignments
  • Monitor learner progress and complete assessment and feedback documentation
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and fully equipped workshop environment
  • Ensure compliance with awarding body and internal quality assurance standards
Skills
  • Proven experience in welding with knowledge of different welding techniques.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey information to team members.
  • Ability to educate others, particularly in tutoring roles for less experienced welders or apprentices.
  • Experience working with children or in special education settings is advantageous but not essential.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Qualifications & Requirements
