Job summary

A leading energy services company in Aberdeen is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator Level 3 to perform repairs and maintenance on offshore CCU's and tanks. The ideal candidate will have prior welding experience, certification in related welding techniques, and a strong ability to work independently. Responsibilities include carrying out inspections, meeting safety standards, and ensuring compliance with DNV procedures. Qualifications

Job title: Welder/Fabricator Level 3

Reporting line: Workshop Lead

Location: Aberdeen

Position Grade: G

Principal Accountabilities
  • Carry out repairs to offshore CCU’s and tanks
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to improve safety and aesthetics of CCU
  • Document trip inspection (includes electronically)
  • Carry out visual inspection on all CCU’s (including inspection of lifting gear)
  • Perform cutting and heating tasks by use of oxygen and acetylene
  • Non fleet and third‑party repairs or fabrication
Key Skills
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to work to a high standard of workmanship.
  • Ability to learn new skills.
  • Work to tight deadlines in a safe and accurate manner.
  • Ability to work unsupervised in a diligent and safe manner.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Prior welding experience
  • Certified to carry out Secondary Structure Fillet Welds (EPD016)
  • Good understanding of fabrication and confident in reading engineering drawings
  • Knowledgeable in identifying acceptable materials in reference to weld procedures for DNV compliant repairs
  • Certified to carry out Primary Structure Repairs (EPD012)
  • Numeracy & literacy
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Forklift driving (not essential)
  • Ability to perform fabrication work to offshore standard DNV 2.7-1
