Job description

Overview

Our client, an engineering and manufacturing business, based between Halifax and Bradford, has an immediate requirement to recruit 2 well versed Welder Fabricators. This is a permanent role.

Key Skills / Responsibilities

• Must be able to MIG/MAG to a good standard. Top graded welders will be expected to be able to TIG weld.
• Have experience in working with Mild steel / carbon as a minimum. Top graded welders will have experience of working with exotic materials.
• Read technical drawings to build jobs to specification.
• To fabricate from technical drawings.
• Overhead crane experience is a benefit.
• Work to quality standards set out.
• Possess safe working practices.
• Follow safety protocol including wearing heat-resistant gloves, overalls, air-fed protective masks, and safety shoes (all provided by the company).
• There is genuine potential for progression as well as gaining various Welding Codes, all paid for by the company.

Hours & Compensation

• This is a permanent role with hours: Mon - Thur 7am - 3:45pm / Fri 7am - 12pm.
• Overtime is also available.
• The company operates a banding system based on skill level.
• As part of the interview process, you will be required to carry out a weld test to ascertain your banding.
• Hourly rates range from £15.90 up to £19.
