Welder - Great Bromley, Essex - £13.50 - £14.50 (DOE) - Temp to Perm

Are you a skilled Welder/Fabricator looking for your next challenge? An automotive conversion company is seeking a new team member to join their growing workshop and help speed up the build process as they convert vehicles into fully equipped mobile food trucks.

Hours: Monday to Friday (07:00 - 16:00)

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components to required tolerances
  • Ensure welded joints are clean, strong, and meet quality standards
  • Use shop tools and machinery safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Carry out inspections and communicate issues early to avoid delays
  • Get involved in coachbuilding
Experience required
  • Prior experience as a welder / fabricator in a workshop environment
  • Competence in welding methods relevant to the work (MIG/TIG)
  • Good attention to detail and pride in delivering neat, accurate fabrication work
  • Ability to work from drawings and specifications
  • Strong commitment to health & safety practices
  • Reliable, team player with good communication skills
  • Good hand and power tools experience
