Job description

Overview

Role: Welder. Location: Ipswich, Suffolk. Start date: Immediate Start. Hours: 40 hours per week. Pay: £16 per hour (+ weekly pay) with a pay rise after 3 months.

Responsibilities

• MIG welding mild steel up from 20mm+
• Fabricating with various hand & power tools
• Use of cutting, drilling & grinding machinery
• Always follow & adhere to the company’s health and safety standards
• Work independently; read and work from engineering drawings and comply with weld symbols and standards as required

Requirements / Qualifications

• Welder experience; experienced fabricator may qualify for a higher hourly rate
• Ability to read engineering drawings and comply with weld symbols and standards

Details

This is a permanent position subject to a successful 3-month probation period. Hours are 07:00-15:30, 40 hours per week. Overtime is available during busy periods at increased rates of pay.
