Job summary

A manufacturing company in the UK is seeking an experienced Welder to join their team in Dungannon. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding mild steel, aluminium, and stainless steel components, ensuring compliance with quality procedures and health and safety regulations. Previous experience with MIG and TIG welding in a heavy manufacturing environment is essential. The position offers a permanent contract with weekly hours of 41.5, and the salary is to be discussed.

Job description

Recruiting for a Welder (Mild Steel, Aluminium and or Stainless Steel).

Responsibilities
  • Read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Clean steel before, during and at the end of use.
  • Use disc grinder to smooth out, weld, or grind parts prior to welding.
  • Weld fabricated steel component parts.
  • Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
  • You will ensure that all works carried comply with quality procedures.
  • Working as part of a team to develop continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations, Policies and Procedures.
  • Adherence to our ISO 9001 Quality management system.
  • Adherence to company health and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy works area.
  • Any other duties as required by management to suit business needs.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience of MIG Welding to a high standard in a work environment.
  • Previous experience working in a heavy manufacturing - engineering environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Proven measurement and mathematical skills.
  • Previous experience of TIG Welding to a high standard in auate environment.
  • Previous experience in the same industry.
