Job Description

Driver Hire (Torbay) is seeking reliable Van Drivers (Category B) to operate up to 3.5T vehicles for our clients in Newton Abbot and across South Devon. This role is perfect for experienced drivers looking for consistent weekend work with flexible shift options and varied assignments.

Location

Newton Abbot & South Devon (must have own transport to reach different client sites).

Salary

£13.68 per hour (PAYE Advanced) - Paid weekly.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely deliver goods in a 3.5T van, ensuring timely and professional service.
• Please ensure daily vehicle checks are conducted and all delivery documentation is completed accurately.
• Load and unload goods (manual handling required).
• Represent Driver Hire and our clients in a professional manner at all times.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Full UK Category B (car/van) licence.
• No more than 6 penalty points (excluding DR, DD or IN convictions).
• Physically fit to handle manual loading/unloading in all weather conditions.
• Own transport to commute to client locations.
• Working mobile phone for shift communication.

Desirable:

• Previous multi-drop or commercial driving experience.
• Knowledge of South Devon roads and delivery routes.
