Job description

Hunter Douglas is a global leader in innovative window coverings and architectural products, known for quality, craftsmanship, and market‑leading design. As we continue to evolve our product offerings and customer order journeys, we’re looking to hire a Web Developer on a 12-month fixed term contract to support two major strategic programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and update product rules, order journey workflows, pricing logic, and UI elements across a range of products in our bespoke Trade Portal and branded websites.
  • Develop technical solutions to align with newly designed business process for customer journey changes.
  • Ensure all portal logic remains fully aligned with SAP configuration and product data.
  • Deliver highly configurable M2M (Made to Measure) product and order workflow and logic updates to reflect new product structures and supply chain routes.
  • Implement new multiplicity functionality in product ordering and supplier configuration.
  • Integrate new shutter schematics and visualisation technology, collaborating with parties to develop exciting new customer features and specification accuracy improvements.
  • Be responsible for the preparation, co‑ordination and execution of SIT, UAT, and regression testing; diagnose and resolve defects relating to logic, UI, data, or visual components.
  • Support cutover and go‑live by validating all product journeys, M2M flows, and visualisation tools in pre‑production environments, and prepare handover documentation.
About You
  • Experience in web development using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks.
  • Comfortable working with dynamic UI components, rules engines, and product configuration logic.
  • Preferably experience of working with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Familiar with visualisation tools, schematics, or interactive product selectors.
  • Understanding of API integrations and data flows; SAP exposure is a plus.
  • Background in e‑commerce platforms, ordering systems, or digital product configuration tools.
  • Capable of translating product specifications into accurate digital behaviour.
  • Strong collaborator with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work at pace, manage multiple deliverables, and thrive in project‑driven environments.
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or product‑based businesses is beneficial.
