Overview

Looking for individuals to form a small team of Wayfinding Stewards to work our T20, Hundred and International fixtures. Your top priority is to welcome spectators to the ground and ensure that their first physical touch point at the Oval is the best experience it could be. Once the match has started, you will be an integral part in ensuring that the ground is to the best possible standard it could be, whilst remaining a friendly face for anyone that needs assistance.

What you’ll do
  • Greet spectators upon entry to the ground either outside or inside the gates.
  • Direct spectators to the right gates/helping reduce queues outside of the ground for ease of access for the customer.
  • Help with basic ticketing queries to reduce the number of spectators being sent to the ticket office.
  • Hand out any giveaways to spectators e.g. 4/6 cards, Vitality sunglasses.
  • Answer any queries and if unable to do so, direct them to somebody that will be able to help.
  • Provide information and assistance to spectators arriving at the Kia Oval.
  • Direct people in the right direction i.e. to their seats, to a concession, to the toilets.
  • Help with queue busting once the match has started.
  • Check that the facilities in the ground are well maintained. This can include checking that the toilets are clean, seeing if bins need emptying etc and report any issues straight to match control.
Qualifications & Essentials
  • Aged 18 or over with a full right to work in the UK.
  • Must have good knowledge of the ground – where things are, where to signpost people.
  • Enthusiastic individual who can work well in a team and follow instruction.
  • Reliable and self‑motivated.
  • Strong time‑keeping skills.
  • Well presented at all times.
  • Professional with high standards and integrity.
  • Good communication skills and outstanding customer service.
  • Approachable and friendly.
Salary and Benefits
  • £13.85 per hour excluding holiday pay.
