Job description

Our client is an established and expanding water treatment/hygiene company dealing with public and commercial sector contracts and due to continued expansion they are now looking for a reliable and experienced Water Treatment Engineer to cover various contracts predominately in and around the St Albans area. Applications from Watford, Hatfield, Harpenden, Hemel Hempstead and surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Must hold relevant C&G certificates or equivalent verifiable skills in plumbing.
  • A good understanding and a proven track record of working to industry guidelines.
  • Extensive experience of working in a plumbing/water treatment role.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Responsibilities
  • Carrying out installation and preventative maintenance on chemical dosing systems.
  • Checking the water quality in softeners and levels of inhibitors in boiler systems.
  • Closed system analysis of LTHW and CHW and results, temperature monitoring.
  • Undertake surveys and risk and method statements.
  • Installation and maintenance of filters, cold water storage tanks, calorifier’s, water softeners etc.
  • Cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems, boilers and cooling towers, mains water pipes etc.
  • Temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling, analysing water systems and interpreting the results.
  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance on all dosing equipment.
