Job description

Our client is a leading name within the water treatment industry known for their expertise in providing water treatment/hygiene, and legionella services throughout the UK. They are currently recruiting for an accomplished and knowledgeable Water Treatment Engineer based in and around the Plymouth area. The ideal candidate will be experienced in undertaking routine water treatment duties such as cleaning and disinfections on cooling towers, closed systems and carrying out tank cleans. Applications from Tavistock, Looe, Ivybridge and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Applicants will come from a good chemical and technical background, ideally with a City & Guilds qualification.
• Experience working as a water treatment engineer.
• Good working knowledge of the Health & Safety regulations and the water treatment industry.
• Possess excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
• IT literate.

Role:

• Refurbishments, cleaning and disinfections, cooling towers, water systems, tank cleans etc.
• Performing routine sampling, temperature checks, monitoring air and water systems.
• Must comply with the current Health and Safety legislation.
• Maintain professional relationship with clients.
• Assisting with evaporative cooling system cleaning.
• Remedial works relating to water treatment/hygiene.

• In general, the successful post-holder will be an all-rounder, flexible, have good work ethic and have the ability to carry out the work effectively and within time scale.
• Must be prepared to travel to areas designated by the client.
• Must be prepared to work within confined space and heights.
