Water Treatment Engineer / Legionella Risk Assessor

Location: St Helens, Merseyside
Salary/Benefits: £25k – £42k + Training & Benefits

Our client is seeking a hardworking Water Treatment Engineer / Legionella Risk Assessor in the North West region. Applicants will need well-rounded experience in order to adapt to changing client requirements. The company is an independent outfit with a growing client base and well-established team, who undertake the full range of ACOP L8 services for clients. They are offering competitive salaries and benefits for the successful candidate.

We are ideally seeking a candidate who is based around: St Helens, Warrington, Altrincham, Widnes, Runcorn, Frodsham, Leigh, Prescot, Kirkby, Bootle, Liverpool, Birkenhead, Formby, Southport, Ormskirk, Skelmersdale, Wigan, Bolton, Chroley, Manchester, Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, Hyde, Stockport, Wilmslow, Blackburn, Burnley, Huddersfield, Halifax, Bradford, Brighouse, Leeds.

Experience / Qualifications
  • Must have experience working as a Water Treatment Engineer
  • Will have worked within a Water Treatment / Legionella company
  • Applicants will hold experience undertaking Legionella Risk Assessments, as well as the City & Guilds in Legionella Risk Assessing
  • Excellent knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Comfortable producing regular service reports
The Role
  • Undertaking a wide range of ACOP L8 compliance duties across commercial, domestic and local authority client sites
  • Showerhead Descales
  • TMV servicing
  • Cleans & disinfections on cold water storage tanks
  • Closed system sampling and analysis
  • Completing legionella risk assessments on domestic hot & cold systems
  • Acid descales
  • Calorifier inspections
  • Completing regular service reports
  • Working to agreed targets and timescales
