Job description

Due to current business requirement, this water treatment company that specializes in various water treatment and water hygiene disciplines is seeking for a smart, competent and multi-skilled Water Treatment Engineer based in and around the Ilford and will include applications from Romford, Lewisham, Dagenham and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience

The applicant must come from a strong chemical, technical, plumbing, and water hygiene/water treatment background and at the same time must have varied experience working within this role and within the water treatment/water hygiene industry.

Must be well versed with the water treatment industry and legislation.

Must be competent in using the Microsoft Office Package.

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Purpose of the Role

Covering various contracts which will include residential, commercial and industrial properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Disinfection of mains water systems, tank cleans and descales, changing and replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, water softeners, etc.
• Monitoring client’s air and water systems and ensuring that they comply with the current Health and Safety legislation.
• Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems and cooling towers.
• Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analyzing water systems.
• Pre commissioning/Flushing.
• Interpreting the results and maintaining and installing dosing systems, etc.
• Providing accurate reports and maintaining paper work.
• Building and maintaining a good rapport with the clients.
• Carrying plumbing work – Servicing and maintaining – TMVs.

Requirements/Attributes

Overall the successful candidate will be versatile, flexible and reliable and have the ability to work independently and under pressure and must be prepared to travel to designated sites.
