Job summary

A leading infrastructure services provider is seeking a Water Technician to ensure the delivery of safe, clean drinking water. In this field-based role, you will conduct water quality surveys, manage incidents, and perform testing in various locations. Ideal candidates will possess strong IT and customer skills, alongside general operational knowledge related to leakage control. A full driving licence is essential for this position, as it involves travel to different sites across the region.

Qualifications

  • General knowledge of operational activities, especially leakage control, is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct water quality system surveys including sampling.

  • Update digital records of the water distribution network.
  • Respond to water incidents as part of a reactive team.

Overview

In this role you will be working on the Integrated Maintenance, Repair and Development Services (IMRDS) alliance on the Anglian Water Alliance. The team maintain the water supply systems, repairs emergencies like water bursts and develops new ways to better service customers. What will you be responsible for? As Water Technician, you'll plays a pivotal part in ensuring our customers get safe, clean, drinking water every day. This is a hands on, outside, field based technical role, travelling around the local and wider geographical areas, operating Anglian Waters underground assets to ensure maintenance plans are delivered to ensure water quality standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Water quality system surveys, including bacteriological and chemical sampling
  • Planned valve operations including pre/post operation flushing
  • Flow and pressure tests in the water network
  • Updating the water distribution network digital records
  • Responding to company level water incidents as part of an incident reactive team
Qualifications
  • Strong IT skills
  • Excellent customer facing skills
  • A good general knowledge of operational activities such as leakage control would be advantageous
  • Full Driving Licence
