Overview

L8 Water Hygiene Technician – M62 Corridor (with travel across England, occasional support in Scotland)

Emco Talent are working with a specialist building services provider to recruit experienced L8 Water Hygiene Technicians. The company has been established for over 20 years and delivers a wide range of compliance services including water treatment, HVAC commissioning, and Legionella control.

The Role

As an L8 Water Hygiene Technician, you'll play a key part in keeping client sites safe, compliant, and operational. You'll be carrying out tasks such as:

• Temperature monitoring, flushing, descaling, cleaning, and water sampling in line with ACoP L8 & HSG274 guidance
• Completing electronic job sheets and compliance records accurately
• Identifying and escalating any non-compliance or remedial needs
• Supporting remedial works and liaising with the office team when required
• Following site-specific and company health & safety procedures
• Representing the company professionally when on client sites

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in water hygiene / Legionella control / water treatment (preferred)
• Knowledge of compliance tasks such as monitoring, sampling, and basic remedial work
• A proactive and self-motivated approach with excellent attention to detail
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
• Experience with compliance software such as ZetaSafe (advantageous but not essential)
• Strong communication and time management skills
