About the role

We are currently working with a leading water hygiene / treatment company that delivers a full range of water hygiene, treatment and legionella services to longstanding clients. They are looking for a conscientious and self‑motivated Water Hygiene Engineer / Plumber based in and around the Guildford area. The successful candidate will be undertaking a mix of remedial and compliance works across local authority, leisure, domestic, industrial and construction sites.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake a range of legionella remedial works on local authority and commercial sites.
• Carry out water hygiene duties, including temperature monitoring, water sampling, TMV servicing and installations, showerhead descaling, and cleaning/enhancing disinfecting of cold water storage tanks.
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety and ACOP L8 guidelines.
• Build and maintain good working relationships with clients.

Qualifications & experience required

• Qualified at City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 plumbing, or equivalent, or have hands‑on remedial experience within a water hygiene company.
• Hands‑on experience undertaking legionella compliance and plumbing duties, preferably within a water treatment company.
• Knowledge of HSG and ACOP L8 guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
