Qualifications

• Experience carrying out L8 compliance duties according to ACoP L8 guidelines.
• Good working knowledge of domestic water systems.
• Experience with closed system testing is desirable.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor temperatures.
• Conduct water sampling.
• Inspect cold and heated water storage tanks.
• Descale showerheads.
• Flush calorifiers.
• Perform cleans and disinfections on storage tanks.
• Clean and disinfect cooling towers.
• Inspect, test, and service TMVs.
• Inspect CWSTs.
• Perform basic remedial and installation works on hot and cold water systems.
• Update site logbooks.

Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer

South Wales based Water Hygiene company is currently looking for an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be traveling across the South Wales / South West region, undertaking the full range of water hygiene duties to hot and cold domestic water systems. Candidates will be flexible and professional and must be happy to travel as part of the role.

Consideration will be given to candidates based in areas with good access to the South Wales / South West region including; Newport, Pontypridd, Bridgend, Swansea, Neath, Port Talbot, Bristol, Stroud, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Swindon, Bath, Chippenham, Trowbridge and the surrounding areas.

Experience / Qualifications

• Experience carrying out L8 compliance duties to ACoP L8 guidelines.
• Good working knowledge of domestic water systems.
• Experience undertaking closed system testing is desirable.
• Able to work on their own or as part of a team.

Duties

• Temperature monitoring.
• Water sampling.
• Inspections of cold and heated water storage tanks.
• Showerhead descales.
• Calorifiers flushing.
• Cleans & Disinfections on storage tanks.
• Cooling tower cleans and disinfections.
• TMV inspection, testing and servicing.
• CWST inspections.
• Basic remedial and installation works on hot and cold water systems.
• Updating site logbooks.
