Job summary

A water efficiency company is seeking Water Efficiency Plumbers to join their team in Doncaster. The role involves diagnosing plumbing issues, conducting efficiency audits, and engaging with customers. Successful candidates will hold a City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing NVQ and must have a full UK driving licence. Full training and support will be provided for specific plumbing tasks. Equipment includes a van, smartphone, and necessary tools.

Qualifications

Job description

Overview

Aqualogic are the UK leaders in water efficiency and demand management. We provide services to many of the major water utility companies and their customers, providing professional support services assisting to manage water demand and losses.

We currently require plumbers to build on our excellent team of Home Water Efficiency experts across Sheffield and Doncaster.

We require enthusiastic, passionate, and talented people to join the team within one of our flagship contracts in Yorkshire. The successful candidates must be an enthusiastic communicator who is able to engage with customers across the spectrum.

Equipment provided: van, smart phone, and associated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Leaking Toilets: diagnose and repair leaking toilets referred by our water efficiency team in domestic and commercial environments. Perform general maintenance, fault diagnosis, replace defective parts, and ensure toilets operate efficiently.
• Urinal Controls: inspect urinals to determine whether they are uncontrolled; install a urinal control fitting if needed. If a control is present, assess functionality and replace faulty parts with a new Aqualogic Hydrocell unit as required. Full training will be provided.
• Water Efficiency Checks: visit homes and small to medium-sized businesses, conduct water efficiency audits, assess plumbing fixtures, measure flow rates, identify leaks, and install water-saving devices where necessary. Take meter readings and input vital data using provided IT equipment.
• General: identify root causes of leaks with strong problem-solving skills and deliver effective solutions. Note: role does not involve structural repairs or work on surrounding floors, walls, tiles, or other affected surfaces; focus remains on the plumbing components of toilet systems.
• Customer interactions: liaise with customers and occupants, provide water saving guidance and behavioural change advice, and fit the recommended water-saving items.
• Data and reporting: input data into My Water app and other specialist tools, using dedicated software for data capture via smartphone/tablet and MS Office. Assist Project Manager and planning team to deliver high-quality service.
• Schedule: occasional weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing NVQ
• National Water Hygiene "The Blue Card" preferred (training provided)
• GCSEs including Maths and English
• Full UK driving licence: essential
