Job Overview

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is looking to expand its existing Waste portering team to provide an efficient and high quality Waste portering service at our Southend Hospital Site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport waste internally and externally and assist with the smooth running of clinical and non‑clinical departments.
  • Respond to emergency calls in a calm and professional manner.
  • Drive the waste vehicle and trailer (driving licence required).
  • Move furniture for disposal and complete ad hoc jobs.
  • Provide assistance on site to members of the public.
Working Hours

The role is a full‑time post on a shift‑based rota as a waste porter.

Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience in a waste portering role within a hospital environment would be an advantage. A valid driving licence is required for the role.
