Overview

A growing niche specialist Waste Management consultancy is looking to hire 2 Business Development Managers due to growth. You must have waste management sales experience to be considered. This is a remote role, and you can be based anywhere in the UK. The business is owned by a larger recycling/commodities group and is growing in revenues and headcount year on year. These roles suit individuals who identify as hunters with a real eye for detail and strategy, rather than fast transactional selling. You should be comfortable with a long sales cycle, minimal leads, and be resourceful in providing true saving and efficiency findings for clients across the country, mostly within manufacturing markets.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute new business opportunities within the Waste Management sector across the UK, primarily targeting manufacturing clients.
  • Navigate long sales cycles with limited leads, delivering tailored savings and efficiency recommendations.
  • Engage with a range of decision-makers including Facilities Managers, Estates Managers, Finance Directors, business owners, procurement teams, health and safety teams, and environmental directors.
  • Operate as a proactive hunter, balancing strategy with execution to drive revenue growth for the consultancy.
Qualifications
  • Proven sales success in Waste Management (including trade, TWM, Hazardous, etc.).
  • Strong numeracy and the ability to engage with diverse audiences.
  • Experience selling WM services and ability to articulate value to senior stakeholders.
Compensation

Salary range is dependent on experience, typically basic between £45,000 and £70,000, plus a strong bonus scheme and development opportunities.

On-target earnings (OTE) are £80,000 to £100,000 per year. Please only apply if you have Waste Management experience.
