Waste & Recycling Officer required to work with leading Cannock / Staffordshire based local council.

My client is looking for an experienced and professional Waste & Recycling Officer to join their Waste and Commercial Services division on a permanent contract.

This role is tasked with overseeing their Waste & Recycling functions as part of a multi disciplined team.

Responsibilities

The role is tasked with overseeing the Waste & Recycling functions as part of a multi disciplined team. The successful candidate will:

• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to manage waste and recycling operations.
• Engage with the public, elected members and council executives via phone and face-to-face interactions.
• Utilise literacy, numeracy and IT skills for electronic data recording, analysis and report writing.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar public or private sector environment within the waste and recycling industry.
• Strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills for electronic data recording, analysis and reporting.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ideally relevant professional body accreditations, CIWM.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary: £28,142 - £31,022 per annum depending on experience
