Overview

Pertemps are currently recruiting for a proactive and hands-on Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of a busy warehouse operation. As a key link between the team and senior site management, you'll take ownership of people, process, and performance across key warehouse functions - ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety while leading your team to achieve daily targets.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate warehouse operatives to ensure smooth workflow across goods-in, storage, and dispatch
  • Oversee movement, picking, and packing of stock, including palletising and preparing goods for delivery
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, stock control processes, and health & safety standards at all times
  • Maintain safe handling and storage practices, including manual handling, forklift use, and PPE compliance
  • Monitor KPIs and contribute to continuous improvement across warehouse operations
  • Conduct return-to-works, performance reviews, and disciplinaries when required
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant warehouse environment
  • Support audits, stock checks, and ensure accurate record keeping
  • Escalate issues appropriately and provide operational support to senior management
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Previous supervisory/team leader experience in a fast-paced warehouse, logistics, or FMCG environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate a team effectively
  • Confident decision-maker, able to work under pressure and meet operational targets
  • Good understanding of warehouse processes, stock control, and health & safety compliance
  • KPI- and results-driven, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
Pay & Hours

£13.48 per hour

Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 17:00
