The position involves mock counts arranged for the Friday before counts take place. The first mock count is on Friday 2nd Jan at Goole. Attendance is mandatory for all colleagues as inductions and AMT training will be provided. This is a casual position based at our customer's distribution centre in Goole.

Rate of pay: £12.26 per hour

Shift Patterns: 7am - 3pm

Working Environment: Ambient

A day in the life of a Warehouse Stock Operative

As a Warehouse Stock Operative, you will work as part of a dynamic and supportive team in a fast‑paced and target‑driven environment to ensure the stock entering or leaving the depot is accurate. Activities may vary, and you may be required to work across multiple different workstreams such as:

  • Goods Inbound checks
  • Picker Accuracy audits
  • Load Adherence checks

Most of these tasks require periods of manual handling.

Job Activities
  • Audit the inbound accuracy of supplier deliveries on the GFR program.
  • Audit picker accuracy of stock destined for stores and fully investigate all errors found.
  • Adhere to agreed audit and error verification procedures at all times.
  • Maintain integrity at all times.
  • Ensure the expected productivity levels are achieved, in line with customer expectations.
  • Review daily targets in line with customer expectations.

Job Specifics
  • Able to actively respond to both verbal instructions and audible warning devices.
  • Ability to communicate well, both written and verbally.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Carry out stock auditing duties in a fixed site or sites which require shift cover (i.e. for holidays or long‑term sickness etc.) as deemed appropriate by management.
  • Maintain and develop relationships and effective lines of communication between RAS, client, and client‑appointed 3PL.
  • Administrative duties to include weekly time sheets, new starter training and sign‑off, pre‑inspection sheets, filing of audit paperwork and soft data entry, scheduling, holidays and uniform requests, auditing associated tasks and conducting audits.
  • Ensure that an efficient & robust service is provided in a consistent fashion at all times to the client, so client KPI's and ways of working are met.
  • Ensure that all relevant objectives are achieved in a sustainable manner.
  • Ensure all RAS colleagues are treated in a professional manner at all times.
  • Ensure all allocated shifts are worked and time and attendance expectations are met.
