Job Description

Warehouse Shunter Driver – Nights

Nunn Brook Road, Huthwaite, Sutton in Ashfield, NG17 2HU

40 Hours – Sunday to Thursday (2030-0500)

Salary is £30,249.24

Job Purpose and Responsibilities
  • Manage the scanning of packages or pallets to vehicles ready for despatch.
  • Ensure the safe and secure loading of all consignments to vehicles with use of straps or loading bars.
  • Assist with the loading/unloading of vehicles using appropriate equipment such as pallet trucks.
  • Ensure vehicle is in temperature prior to loading.
  • Move vehicles on and off loading bays (HGV and van).
  • Report all defects as per defect reporting process to your line manager.
  • Adhere to all legislation governing HGV driving in the UK.
  • Demonstrate professional and safe driving competency at all times.
  • Be smart and presentable at all times.
  • Move finished goods within the warehouse to dedicated bays using appropriate equipment.
  • Organise loads within bays to ensure all are correct prior to loading.
  • Perform general housekeeping.
  • Correctly complete EPOD scan to vehicle.
  • When directed by a manager, undertake any other task appropriate to the skills and responsibilities of a driver.
Requirements

A successful candidate requires the relevant licence to operate HGV vehicles.
