Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Safety Officer to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance within our UK logistics and warehouse facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure all warehouse operations align with UK workplace safety laws, company policies, and industry standards. This role involves active participation in safety audits, risk assessments, employee training, and implementation of preventive safety measures. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.

• Develop and implement safety procedures, guidelines, and emergency response plans.

• Ensure full compliance with UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) standards and warehouse regulations.

• Lead safety training programs for warehouse staff, forklift drivers, and supervisors.

• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, preparing detailed reports and corrective action plans.

• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation for audits and internal reviews.

• Collaborate with operations managers to integrate safety standards into daily workflows.

• Monitor the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and enforce compliance.

• Review contractor safety plans and ensure external vendors meet safety criteria.

• Promote a proactive safety culture, encouraging open communication and continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications
