About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference to our students’ experiences and give a first class service to our stakeholders and community.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

• To provide a first-class service to our customers in undertaking set-up's/set-down's for events, to support with moves, including students, to understand stock control within our small, serviceable warehouse
• Providing high standard of Cleaning and Portering service across campus
• Manual handling of incoming and outgoing stock, picking and packaging of cages and the pushing and pulling of cages – this is a physically demanding role

About You

As Warehouse & Portering Operative, you will have:

• Previous warehousing experience within Goods In, Goods Out and Stock Control environments
• Understanding of COSHH, working knowledge of Health & Safety.
• Previous work experience in a front-line customer service environment delivering excellent customer service, responding to customer requests and resolving issues.
• Experience of working as part of a team, sharing responsibilities and working flexibly to a schedule of work.
• Ability to perform DIY tasks as well as use and maintain industrial equipment e.g., vacuums, carpet cleaners etc.
• Ability to work flexibly, under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Highly motivated and committed to positively engage with personal development
