Warehouse Operator & Forklift Driver

Location: Duxford, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 (including shift allowance)
Hours: Full Time | 40 hours/week | Monday–Friday | Rotating Shifts: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm
Interview Dates: Starting Friday 24th October

The Opportunity

A leading global manufacturer is seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operator & Forklift Driver to join their fast-paced, safety-focused distribution site in Duxford. This role is vital to ensuring efficient and accurate handling of raw materials and finished goods across production and packing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely unload and store raw materials to minimise damage and optimise warehouse space
  • Pick and deliver raw materials and packaging according to production schedules
  • Collect and put away finished products
  • Operate forklift trucks and palletisers accurately and safely (60–70% of role)
  • Complete cycle counts to maintain accurate stock records and minimise production risk
  • Ensure timely execution of the dispatch plan to meet on-time delivery targets
  • Maintain a clean, well-organised warehouse environment in line with 5S principles
  • Take part in daily team briefings and support continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
  • A valid forklift licence (Counterbalance, Reach or VNA)
  • Previous warehouse experience (chemical sector experience beneficial)
Benefits

Financial:

  • £14.52 – £15.24 per hour (including shift allowance)
  • Overtime paid at 2x on Saturdays, 2.5x on Sundays
