Warehouse Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse operations at a busy healthcare manufacturing facility in Merseyside. Overseeing a team of 1 direct report and 6 indirect line reports. This is a key role ensuring the efficient, compliant, and safe handling of materials and products in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring timely and accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials and finished goods.
  • Provide line management and development support to warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure full compliance with GMP / GDP regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee stock control processes.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams to support manufacturing schedules and customer delivery timelines.
  • Drive health and safety standards and ensure all warehouse activities are conducted in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Support audits and inspections, providing documentation and operational insights as required.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in warehouse management within a GMP / GDP-compliant environment, ideally in FMCG, chemical, food or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Strong experience with MRP / Stock control systems
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of inventory control systems and warehouse best practices.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
