Warehouse Manager – Wythenshawe

Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: 07:30 – 16:30 (flexible to meet business needs)

Halecroft Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client, a busy operations business based in Wythenshawe, which is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Warehouse Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, forklift experience, and a knack for organising daily warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate a team by example, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day warehouse operations.
  • Oversee and coordinate inbound and outbound vehicle and trailer movements.
  • Conduct and supervise daily checks on FLT Counterbalance vehicles to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and warehouse records.
  • Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and team communication to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Organise and manage multiple yard operations simultaneously.
  • Report regularly to the Operations Manager on performance, challenges, and progress.
  • Be a key holder and respond to out‑of‑hours calls as required.
Essential Requirements:
  • Proven experience with FLT Counterbalance forklifts and knowledge of daily vehicle checks.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple operations within a dynamic yard environment.
Desirable:
  • Experience in the waste/recycling industry.
  • Health and Safety qualifications, including fire safety awareness.
