A key part of this role will be to overhaul and organise the stores and lay‑down areas, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and fit for future operational needs.

About the role
  • Manage spare parts, tooling, PPE, and contractor‑held inventory while coordinating the SAP transition, including data migration and development of standardised procedures
  • Maintain accurate records, inspections, calibrations, and annual/monthly physical counts, resolving discrepancies and ensuring compliant tracking
  • Oversee goods receipt, refurbishment workflows, and scrapping processes, ensuring system accuracy and safe material handling
  • Site Operations
    • Coordinate daily movements of tools and equipment between stores and vessels, including operation and upkeep of forklifts and site vehicles
    • Coordinate loading/unloading activities, returning materials to storage, and validating consumption for accurate SAP booking
    • Supervise contractors and carry out inspections of racking, storage areas, and equipment to maintain safe and efficient operations
  • Compliance & Safety
    • Ensure statutory inspections (lifting equipment, racking, PPE) are completed, recorded, and compliant with LOLER, PUWER, and COSHH requirements
    • Maintain high HS&E standards across warehouse and logistics areas, including management of waste streams and hazardous substances
    • Support toolbox talks and planning meetings to embed safety and compliance into daily operations
  • Process Development & Future Proofing
    • Create and maintain documentation for all stores and logistics processes to support consistent, repeatable operations
    • Promote the shift toward internal capability for logistics functions, identifying improvement opportunities and enhancing SAP workflows
    • Champion continuous improvement through efficiency initiatives, optimised workflows, and improved reporting
Role requirements and experience
  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Warehousing/Logistics and valid counterbalance forklift licence
  • Practical warehouse/stores experience including SAP or similar systems, inventory counts, inspections, and calibration tracking
  • Knowledge of statutory inspection regimes, goods receipt processes, refurbishment workflows, and scrapping procedures

  • Proficient organisational skills with the ability to document processes, maintain digital records, and operate SAP/Microsoft Office tools
  • Solid understanding of HS&E requirements, inventory control principles, and cycle counting
  • Ability to coordinate daily operations including equipment movements and loading/unloading tasks
  • Motivated, detail‑focused, and capable of executing tasks alone or alongside a team
  • Skilled communicator with good interpersonal skills
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to undertake further training
Advantageous, but not essential
  • IOSH Working Safely or SAP formal training/certification
  • Background in offshore wind, marine, or industrial logistics, with experience supervising contractors
  • Involvement in warehouse redesign, process improvement projects, refurbishment, or scrapping workflows
  • Knowledge of Life Saving Appliances (LSA), waste stream compliance, and operation of electric site vehicles/fuel systems
