Job Responsibility:
Your Role at Cabot: Cabot Corporation is a leading global specialty chemicals and performance materials company. We have a vacancy for a Warehouse Technician to join our day operations. The successful candidate will work a combination of morning, day, and evening 8-hour shifts with a 7-day rotating shift pattern. The successful candidate will carry out all warehouse activities, including stock rotation of raw material and final product, to ensure customer requirements and orders are delivered consistently.

The Warehouse Technician will work in a small team in a dynamic environment and must be an excellent team player with enthusiasm and flexibility. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring finished product is dispatched and shipped to customers or outside storage in a safe, qualitative, and timely manner;
  • Loading containers with palletized material, filling tankers, off-loading sea bulks, and removing liners after loading;
  • Safely moving raw material and final product to and from storage areas;
  • Recording raw material and final product inventory accurately;
  • Maintaining accurate record-keeping and logs of incident reports;
  • Looking after Nissen Hut and WPS Housekeeping;
  • Carrying out designated maintenance work orders around the warehouse area;
  • Taking responsibility for other reasonable duties as required.

What You Will Bring to Cabot:

  • Fully trained Fork Lift Truck License and full clean driving license;
  • English and Math to GCSE grade C and above or equivalent qualification;
  • Intermediate level in MS Excel and Word;
  • Understanding of stock records accuracy principles and cycle counting;
  • Experience of basic mechanical work;
  • NVQ Level 2 Warehouse skills or experience working in a warehouse environment;
  • Stocktaking experience.
