Job summary

A local aged care provider is seeking a hands-on volunteer for the Therapy Equipment Support role at their Madeley location. This position involves maintaining and managing therapy equipment to ensure residents receive safe care. The ideal candidate will be organised and active, with training provided. Do you like things to be neat, organised, and in their right place? Want to make a real difference behind the scenes? We’re looking for a reliable, hands‑on volunteer to help manage and maintain vital therapy equipment at Brightwater Madeley – from wheelchairs and hoist slings to footplates and mobility aids. Your practical support helps ensure our residents receive safe, comfortable care every day.

What You’ll Do
  • Make sure equipment is in the right place and ready to go
  • Match up parts (e.g. footplates to the correct wheelchairs)
  • Clean and maintain equipment to keep it safe and tidy
  • Move equipment to storage when needed (involves light lifting and moving empty wheelchairs)
What We’re Looking For
  • Someone who is organised, practical, and enjoys being active
  • No experience needed – training provided
  • Basic computer skills helpful (but not essential)
  • A positive attitude and readiness to learn
Requirements
  • Completion of Brightwater’s online training
  • Current National Police Check (NPC)
