A community support organization is seeking a Volunteer Recovery Support in Greater London. You will be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team helping individuals with complex mental health and substance use challenges. This volunteer role requires at least two days a week commitment, providing vital support in treatment and recovery journeys. RISE is the substance misuse service for adults residing in Ealing Borough who wish to address their drug and/or alcohol issues. As RISE continues to increase its provision of access and support for individuals with complex mental health conditions, a vacancy has arisen for a Volunteer Recovery Support. They will need to have a specialism in Complex Dual Diagnosis (Co-existing Mental Health and Substance Use).
The Dual Diagnosis Team for Ealing RISE supports service users dealing with:
You will support Team members with their caseload of clients with complex Co-existing Mental Health and Substance Use disorders, who have compounding issues and/or other needs; including:
You will need to work flexibly across the local community with hours to suit service need. The team is peripatetic rather than hub based so all team members work in a variety of venues, including: Substance Misuse Hubs, Community Mental Health Services, GP Surgeries, and Supported Accommodations.
We will support you in this volunteering role by ensuring that you receive regular supervision, Reflective Practice / Clinical Supervision and have a Team member on site who you can approach for day-to-day advice and guidance.
