A prestigious university museum in Oxford seeks passionate Visitor Experience Assistants to enhance visitor interaction and satisfaction. The part-time roles involve welcoming guests, handling inquiries, and promoting donations. Ideal candidates should be friendly and team-oriented. Experience in customer service is advantageous. Based in the beautiful Ashmolean Museum, you will deliver a world class experience for our visitors by acting as the museum’s ambassador. You will interact with a diverse range of people and respond to visitors’ questions and needs. Using product knowledge, you will welcome and inspire our visitors as well as encourage visitor giving (donations). To help you achieve this, we will provide comprehensive and structured training alongside development opportunities.
This role is fixed-term until early June 2026.
There are 6 part-time vacancies available with varying hours and weekly shift patterns. Patterns vary between 0.53 and 0.96 FTE. All shift patterns will involve working at least one weekend day, with some patterns including both weekend days.
This role will involve regular manual handling and some lone working. Full training will be provided.
