The Opportunity

Launched from scratch, Proton’s YouTube channel has already grown to 40K subscribers, 1.2M views, and 10M brand impressions, and is quickly becoming a trusted voice in the privacy‑first movement.

As Video Producer, you’ll make YouTube‑first long‑form videos making complex cybersecurity topics accessible. From concept to publish, you’ll own the full production process, ensuring Proton’s content delivers value, drives engagement, and inspires action.

And you won’t be doing this alone. You’ll partner closely with Snowball’s YouTube growth experts (who’ve scaled channels to 27M+ subscribers and 10B+ views) to push creative boundaries and build one of the most impactful mission‑driven tech channels in the world.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute YouTube‑first videos that align with Proton’s brand, mission, and audience.

• Translate complex privacy and cybersecurity topics into entertaining, digestible narratives.

• Lead the full YouTube production cycle—ideation, scripting, and filming.

• Collaborate with Proton’s marketing, product, and content teams to ensure content supports broader brand initiatives.

• Partner with Snowball to analyze YouTube performance data and continuously optimize for growth.

Who You Are

• 5+ years as a video producer, filmmaker, or content creator with a strong storytelling portfolio, ideally with experience in documentary‑style or edutainment YouTube channels.

• Passionate about digital freedom, with the ability to make technical topics relatable.

• Highly proactive and comfortable running an independent production pipeline.

• Skilled at collaborating cross‑functionally with brand and marketing stakeholders.

• Have deep knowledge of YouTube trends, best practices, and audience engagement strategies.
