Role Overview

The REGAL Investment Banking team is seeking a Vice President with direct experience in the Gaming & Gambling sector. This individual will play a key leadership role across deal execution, origination, and client relationship development, supporting both UK and international mandates.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record in sell‑side M&A, with familiarity across sub‑verticals including online gaming, sports betting, e‑sports, gaming technology, casinos, and broader regulated gambling.

Key Responsibilities
Transaction Execution & Leadership
  • Lead day‑to‑day execution of M&A and capital markets transactions across the gaming and gambling ecosystem.
  • Oversee deal processes including due diligence, buyer/investor outreach, management of internal and external workstreams, and preparation of client materials.
  • Review and refine complex financial models, valuations, and strategic analyses.
  • Ensure high‑quality output from Analysts and Associates, providing guidance and oversight throughout the execution cycle.
Client Coverage & Origination
  • Prepare and deliver pitches, sector updates, and strategic recommendations to gaming clients and prospects.
  • Support senior bankers in developing new client relationships and identifying origination opportunities.
  • Maintain deep insight into sector trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics within global gaming markets.
Sector Expertise
  • Lead research and analysis involving gaming operators, technology providers, iGaming platforms, betting companies, and regulated land‑based assets.
  • Provide market intelligence and thought leadership to internal teams and clients.
  • Monitor deal flow, investor appetite, and emerging themes across Europe and the US.
Team Development
  • Mentor, coach, and develop junior team members.
  • Build strong cross‑functional relationships within Jefferies’ global platform.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 5–7+ years of investment banking experience, preferably with a focus on Gaming & Gambling or adjacent sectors within Consumer, FIG, or TMT.
  • Proven track record executing complex sell‑side M&A transactions.
  • Strong sector knowledge of regulated gaming, online betting, iGaming platforms, or gaming technology.
  • Exceptional technical capabilities across valuation, modelling, and strategic analysis.
  • Strong presentation skills with confidence engaging directly with senior management teams and C‑suite executives.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • High attention to detail, strong judgment, and a collaborative mindset.
