The full-time role is 40 hours per week, typically worked over a 4-day week, with some out-of-hours (OOH) commitments. Part-time applications are also welcome, and we are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements. The position is primarily first opinion, but we can support those wishing to develop their skillset or pursue a certificate, and we are pleased to accommodate certificate holders within our team.

A Bit About Us and Our Fabulous Team

Based in the market town of Morpeth in beautiful Northumberland, close to the stunning coastline and hills. We are a 27-vet practice with specialist departments covering small animal, exotics, equine, farm and exports.

We are lucky to have a purpose-built hospital offering our own OOH to our clients. We have several certificate holders across many disciplines including surgery, medicine, cardiology, behaviour, feline medicine and exotics. Boasting 4 theatres, dental and radiography suites, endoscopy, ultrasound, ECG, hydrotherapy suites and separate wards for cats, dogs, exotics and small mammals our team offers the best care to our clients and patients. Along with our hospital site we have 8 branch surgeries.

We are looking for a vet who would like to develop their skill set and expand their knowledge. We are committed to supporting continuous professional development and will actively encourage and facilitate upskilling and career progression. As a small animal practice with both branches and a purpose built hospital we are able to accommodate those looking for a first opinion role or those looking to work in a more hospital based setting. We have a varied caseload and are able to offer the successful candidate the opportunity to develop their own area of interest be it surgical, medical or imaging within the supportive environment of Robson & Prescott.
