Job description
Overview

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join DeMontfort Veterinary Hospital on a permanent basis. This role would be ideal for someone with a surgical bias. We can provide a relocation allowance of up to £5,000 for candidates who require it. The role will include elements of sole charge, so we are looking for a candidate who is comfortable with that arrangement.

Flexible working that offers real balance between work and life. Whether you prefer a fixed rota or something more flexible, we can create the perfect solution for you. Ideally, this is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week, either over a 4 or 5 day week (depending on your preference), plus 1:4 Saturdays (08:30 - 13:00).

Who we are

We are a friendly, progressive, RCVS-accredited practice located in the growing market town of Evesham. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, we are a 30-minute drive from Cheltenham and Worcester, and about 90 minutes from London by train. We are a Veterinary Nurse training centre, an ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic (Gold Award), and an RWAF Clinic (Silver Award). Our team includes 4 FTE vets, 7.5 FTE RVNs, and 1 SVN, supported by an outstanding team to maintain high standards of care. The clinical team covers medicine, dentistry, ECC, surgery, feline nursing, and behavioral work. We have modern equipment including digital X-ray, dental X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and IDEXX analysers.

Don’t just take our word for it — here’s what the team have to say:

"I started at de Montfort Vets as a Trainee Veterinary Nurse. I was welcomed into the team and over the years I have progressed in my career. I am very proud of the high standards of care we offer and how the team all work together to ensure we are doing the very best for our patients. Now I have a young family and the practice have been very supportive with my hours and shifts to allow me to maintain a workable routine and a good work/life balance. I am looking forward to many more happy years with my team of wonderful colleagues."
