Overview

Here at Scarsdale Vets, we’re on the look out for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our established team on a permanent basis. This role would be split between our Stapenhill & Hilton practices. If you are looking to specialise, we can provide that opportunity, whether you would like to study for a certificate or offer specialist services or treatments. We have varied surgical and medical caseloads where you will have clinical freedom to follow your own cases with regular opportunities for operating. We’re offering relocation support of up to £5000, as well as a welcome bonus of £5000 (pro rata).

A typical full time role would involve working 38 hours per week over a 4 day week, along with our shared weekend rota. You’ll receive time back in lieu for all weekend work.

We are a multisite practice situated in the Midlands. In addition to our main RCVS Tier 3 accredited hospital we have 8 practice sites - all our sites are accredited by the RCVS under the Practice Standards Scheme. We have a talented and enthusiastic team of Veterinary Surgeons, as well as our roster of New Grad Vets that are supported by an exceptional team of Registered Veterinary Nurses, Veterinary Care Assistants and Client Care Advisors.

Many of our team, both vets and nurses, are certificate holders including Medicine, Surgery, ECC, Ophthalmology and Imaging and we actively encourage and support Certificate study. Our main hospital at Derby is well equipped with a CT scanner, MRI, Advanced Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Digital X-ray, Dental radiography, and multiple surgical suites, as well as an onsite hydrotherapy & rehabilitation centre and benefits from a multi-disciplinary specialist led referral service.
