We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Receptionist at Summerleaze Veterinary Hospital.

Location: Summerleaze Veterinary Hospitalin Maidenhead

Contract: 39.5hrs per week

Hours: Shift Pattern:

  • Tues: 8.00-18.00 or 9.00-19.00
  • Wed: 8.00-18.00 or 9.00-19.00
  • Thu: 8.00-18.00 or 9.00-19.00
  • every other Saturday: 08.00-13.00
  • Sundays: 8.00-19.00

Hours in total: 39.5/week

About the role:

Day-to-day duties of the role will include:

  • Answering phones and booking appointments
  • Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
  • Registering new clients
  • Completing insurance forms
  • Dispensing medications
  • Taking payments
  • And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice
What we’re looking for in our Veterinary Receptionist:
  • Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
  • An excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
  • A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
