Qualifications

  • Prepared to work a flexible shift system including nights.
  • Current valid driving licence is desirable.

Job description

Equans is looking for a Ventilation Maintenance Assistant to join our team based at the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Smethwick on a permanent basis. This is a full‑time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £25,400 per annum and a benefits package.

What will you deliver?
  • Mechanical Ventilation experience
  • Assist in engineering activities and undertake duties for which they are trained and competent to do
  • Safely operate all types of access equipment, hand and power tools in accordance with health & safety and manufacturers' guidelines
  • Ensure correct use of personal protective equipment and adherence to health & safety and infection control procedures
  • Minimise penalty deductions by responding in a timely manner to all maintenance issues in accordance with the requirements of the Contract
  • Assist in carrying out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works

Who are you?
  • Previously worked within a maintenance environment
  • Previous ventilation experience
  • Prepared to work a flexible shift system including nights
  • Recognised apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline to City & Guilds level (Desirable)
  • Possess a current valid driving licence (Desirable)
  • Previously worked within a healthcare maintenance environment (Desirable)

This role includes a DBS Standard check; therefore ability to pass is essential.
