We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our team. As a Vehicle Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our customers' vehicles. Location: West Sussex; Salary: £42,000; Benefits include a vehicle with fuel card, pension scheme, sick pay and more.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on vehicles, ensuring all work meets high-quality standards.
• Identify problems with vehicles using diagnostic equipment and provide accurate assessments.
• Change cam belts and perform other essential mechanical tasks.
• Conduct basic services and maintenance tasks, including oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotations.
• Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors, and other vehicle components.
• Carry out routine maintenance and general mechanic work on a variety of vehicles.
• Maintain a clean and organized repair shop environment.
• Be prepared to obtain additional certifications as required.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow through hands-on training.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds certifications are required.

• City & Guilds Automotive certification is mandatory.

Day-to-Day

• Diagnose and repair vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, and tire rotations.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
