Qualifications

• Level 3 Qualified in Light Vehicle Maintenance.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the automotive industry.
• Reliable and professional with a passion for vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT Tests.
• Identify and diagnose mechanical and system faults.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair vehicles to DVSA standards.
• Complete job cards, maintenance records, and associated paperwork.
• Strip down and rebuild vehicle components using technical guides.
• Replace engines, transmissions, and other key systems.
• Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with general workshop duties when needed.

Light Vehicle Technicians & MOT Testers

Rates : £22 - £25 p / h depending on experience

Contract : Freelance / Outside IR35

What You’ll Be Doing as a Vehicle Technician

• Carrying out MOT Tests
• Identifying and diagnosing mechanical and system faults.
• Inspection, maintenance, and repair of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and reliability to DVSA standards.
• Complete job cards, maintenance records, and associated paperwork to a high standard.
• Stripping down and rebuilding vehicle components using technical guides.
• Replacing engines, transmissions, and other key systems.
• Conducting routine servicing and preventative maintenance is key within the Vehicle Technician role.
