Overview
Vehicle Technician – £36,000 - £40,000 pa DOE. 40 hours per week, 08:00–17:00, Monday to Friday; 1 in 4 Saturdays (paid at time and a half). Permanent position. 28 days holidays. Overtime paid at time and a half over 40 hours.
Duties
- Perform major and minor repairs to vans and cars
- Regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services
- Diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles
- Maintain records of vehicles that have been repaired
- Complete relevant documentation and paperwork as required and provide warranty claims or escalate to higher management
- Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting
- Complete customer documentation while working to agreed time scales
Qualifications
The ideal Vehicle Technician will have the following
- Qualification – Level 3 (NVQ or City & Guilds or IMI Qualification) in Vehicle Repair and Maintenance, with experience in diagnostic and service repairs
