Qualifications

  • Qualification – Level 3 (NVQ or City & Guilds or IMI Qualification) in Vehicle Repair and Maintenance, with experience in diagnostic and service repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform major and minor repairs to vans and cars.
  • Regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services.
  • Diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles.
  • Maintain records of vehicles that have been repaired.
  • Complete relevant documentation and paperwork as required.
  • Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting.
  • Complete customer documentation while working to agreed time scales.
Job description
Overview

Vehicle Technician – £36,000 - £40,000 pa DOE. 40 hours per week, 08:00–17:00, Monday to Friday; 1 in 4 Saturdays (paid at time and a half). Permanent position. 28 days holidays. Overtime paid at time and a half over 40 hours.

Duties
  • Perform major and minor repairs to vans and cars
  • Regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services
  • Diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles
  • Maintain records of vehicles that have been repaired
  • Complete relevant documentation and paperwork as required and provide warranty claims or escalate to higher management
  • Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting
  • Complete customer documentation while working to agreed time scales
Qualifications

The ideal Vehicle Technician will have the following

  • Qualification – Level 3 (NVQ or City & Guilds or IMI Qualification) in Vehicle Repair and Maintenance, with experience in diagnostic and service repairs
