Job summary

A transportation and logistics firm is seeking a Van Driver for a temp-to-perm position in Braintree. The role involves driving to construction sites, checking deliveries, ensuring vehicle maintenance, and adhering to safety standards. Candidates must possess a valid driving licence and preferably have previous driving experience. The pay starts at £13.00 per hour and working hours are Monday to Friday from 06:00 to 14:30.

Qualifications

• Must hold a clean and valid driving licence.
• Preferred previous experience in driving roles.
• Ability to perform manual tasks and good physical fitness.

Responsibilities

• Drive company van to construction sites to deliver and collect goods.
• Check and offload deliveries.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Maintain tidiness of the outside areas and warehouse.
• Load vehicles for deliveries securely.
• Adhere to Health & Safety standards and traffic laws.
• Perform general warehouse duties as required.

Overview

Van Driver Temp to Perm

Location: Braintree

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 14.30

Responsibilities

• Driving company van and other vehicles to construction sites to deliver and collect goods, predominantly in the London/East Anglia area.
• Checking and offloading deliveries
• Undertake daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
• Maintaining tidiness of the outside areas and warehouse
• Loading vehicles for deliveries, ensuring they are secured properly for transport.
• Adhere to H&S standards and procedures
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Undertake any other general warehouse duties when required.

Qualifications/Ideal Candidate

• Clean, Valid Driving licence
• Previous driving work preferred
• Physically fit and able and happy to help with any manual tasks
• Good attention to detail

Hours & Pay

Monday - Friday

Pay starts at £13.00
