Overview

Vac Forming Operative needed for a manufacturing company based on Melton Industrial Estate (HU14). Permanent placements available. Starting pay rate: £13.32 per hour, with overtime paid at premium rates. Temp to Perm contract with immediate start; if you have a notice period, we can accommodate it.

Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Use vacuum forming machines to heat and shape plastic sheets.
  • Mould Placement: Prepare and position molds in the machine.
  • Forming the Plastic: Ensure plastic sheets are correctly formed over molds using vacuum pressure.
  • Cooling and Setting: Monitor cooling cycles and ensure products set correctly.
  • Part Removal & Finishing: Remove formed parts, trim excess plastic, and finish to meet client specifications.
  • Quality Checks: Inspect products for defects and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Health & Safety: Follow all safety procedures and keep work areas clean and tidy.
Requirements
  • Own car/motorbike due to location.
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg.
  • Willing to learn new skills quickly.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to progress.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ideally experience in machinery operation, plastic forming, or manufacturing (training provided).
