Job description

We're hiring a User Researcher on a 12-month FTC basis to join our Experian Consumer Services (ECS) division of global data group Experian. We're responsible for the direct-to-consumer credit business, helping consumers take control of their financial health and support their journey through life's big moments

You will help us to uncover how we can innovate and take Experian further, driving value for our customers. This is a new role working with multiple stakeholders across the consumer side of the business.

This is a hybrid role which will require coming into our London office 2 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to uncover areas of growth opportunity for the business, tapping into currently unmet customer needs
  • Plan and run qualitative and quantitative studies
  • Define research objectives and create research proposals
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to create actionable insights and recommendations
  • Work with our other researchers to connect insights and ideas across multiple teams and projects
  • Synthesise findings into clear, actionable insights that connect directly to product outcomes and business goals
  • Collaborate with product, design, marketing and other teams to integrate user research findings into our product development process
  • Champion user‑centred design principles and advocate for the needs and preferences of users
  • Contribute to evolving our research practice, operations, tools, and ways of working across domains
  • Raise the profile of the team by identifying and sharing insights and success stories, and helping other areas to understand value and contribution

  • Excellent user research experience gained ideally within the fintech sector
  • Proven knowledge quant research methodologies and practices
  • Hands‑on experience with a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods and techniques
  • Experience crafting research plans and defining objectives and methodologies

  • Strong prioritisation and project management skills
