Responsibilities

  • Define the asset management plan for every building and update it annually.
  • Assist with the development and the implementation of systems reliability improvement programme.
  • Tracking and monitoring assets failures and developing tools for this.
  • Monthly asset performance reporting.
  • Fault reporting and developing technical solutions for failures.
  • Support an organisational culture of high reliability.
  • Implement a root cause analysis system for equipment failures.
  • Work with engineering maintenance owners to improve system reliability.
  • Act as focal point for equipment condition monitoring.
Job description
  • Monday to Friday.
  • Home based with travel to client sites around England, and sometimes within Scotland, including London, Northampton, Cheshire, Glasgow.

Here at ISS, as a leading Facilities Management (FM) provider, we are looking to recruit an M&E Asset Lead to manage critical, and none critical assets across our flagship banking account within the UK.

Line managing one member of staff, and reporting into the Engineering Director, you will deliver asset management initiatives in line with client sustainability objectives / targets, for achieving net zero, ensuring energy efficiency, lower carbon foot print, systems are operating with low environmental impact. This will be done to ISO 55001.

The M&E Assets can be found within a client estate which is extensive and complex, centered around their global headquarters in Canary Wharf, to their Data Centre, and other, corporate working environments, which are classed as "critical".

As the Asset Lead, you will be right in the middle of the Account, working with senior management, engineering maintenance teams on the ground, local leadership and a number of SMEs, plus of course enjoying a strong relationship with the customer.

This is a fantastic role for an established M&E Asset Lead within the built environment space to join a flagship account, centred on the client's critical portfolio.

Responsibilities

Actions will include :

  • Working with the Head of Asset Reliability to define the asset management plan for every building and update it accordingly annually.
  • Assist with the development and the implementation of systems reliability improvement programme, for systems prone to failure, including the set up of the structure and processes to deliver it.
  • Tracking and monitoring assets failures and the development of tools to do so.
  • Monthly asset performance reporting.
  • Fault reporting and developing technical solutions for bringing down failures, with engineering site leads and suppliers.
  • Actively supporting an organisational culture of high reliability to maintain the highest level of asset reliability and integrity (cooling and power resilience).
  • Maintain and implement a root cause analysis system for analysing critical equipment failures, to identify and implement short or longterm remedial actions to prevent repeat failures.
  • Ensure key personnel have the knowledge and expertise to effectively support system improvements.
  • Work with engineering maintenance owners or system manufacturers to improve system reliability (i.e. efficiencies, obsolescence, operating and maintenance regimes).
  • Act as focal point for equipment condition monitoring and analysis, ensuring that changes in condition are addressed in timely manner.
Qualifications

We need from you :

  • Extensive and clear Asset Management experience
  • Ideally an engineering background & qualification
  • Experience within critical engineering environments would also be useful
